In reply to <a href="https://crystalcaudill.com/hannah-wade/#comment-7317">Beryl Hatton</a>.

I didn't think I would enjoy it either. For most of my Christian Fiction life, I've only read Historical fiction/romance. However, within the last three or four years (basically since I've became contracted to write historical fiction), I find myself needing something completely different from what I write just for a break. I don't read sports ones often, in fact I think I've only read one of the hockey ones, but it was a pleasant surprise to say the least. Like you, I won't say never to any book, but there are so many options out there, it's hard to not choose something that is more immediately interesting to me.

I have absolutely no interest in reporters or sport. I know nothing about American ice hockey or any ice hockey so I am not likely to read this book. I much prefer historical books or books based in rural or mountainous areas. I have read a book about a librarian and that was surprisingly very good. However I will not say never to any book and if I came cross it I would have a look.
