LoL What's funny, is when I had to do teacher lesson plans, I had to account for every second of the day. Some of it was ridiculous because on paper you couldn't account for travel time, so you just had to build it in as padding to the activities. It looks like that has long been the requirement of institutions.

They are a hard group to work with, but my heart goes out to them. I'm so glad that you had the opportunity to reach out to them, even if it was only for a short season.

I volunteered at Refuge for Women for a couple of years and it was run by Christians and much better than these past groups. However, I had to leave as the young girl’s were so difficult and I’m too gullible which made it eventually impossible for me to help. They have expanded to other cities and states since I left so I’m happy for them and pray for them always. I still visit occasionally but as much as I have a heart to mentor, that job is for others.

This is incredibly fascinating! Your post is very timely in answering many of the questions I have had while reading Counterfeit Faith. In fact, your research and seemingly obscure details from history are one of the very many things that I love about your books. I think that seeing the typed-out daily schedule was so interesting. I also really enjoyed the bottom of that particular sheet where the hours were tallied up to prove that the schedule did, indeed, cover a span of 24 hours each day, almost as if to prove that there were no discrepancies ((even though it is very clear just by reading through the schedule!)). Very interesting!
