I read a lot of Christian suspense, but also like historical and other genre’s under Christian fiction

I read Fire By Night by Lynn Austin, the second of the Refiner’s Fire series. It was amazing and hard to put down. Set in the Civil War, with the POVs of two women, one who serves as a nurse and the other dresses as a man and fights in the war.
Oh, I will have to check that one out. It sounds right up my alley.
I read quite a few Christian fiction books with “freedom/slavery” as a theme (some by Connilyn Cossette as Biblical fiction – not USA, but I could get in the same mindset). I’ve read other books with veterans and FBI/etc occupations where they are dealing with crime and terrorism.

I’m reading Secret Emerald Cottage by Julie Lessman excellent and intriguing and interesting read and so much more in my opinion A MUST READ

I read His Fourth of July Blessing by Lee Tobin McClain. It was a really interesting book.

The Highwayman by Shannon McNear about the American Revolution
Awesome. I don’t think I’ve read that one from her yet.
I read For Liberty and Love by Shanna Hatfield. It’s set during the Revolutionary War.
I love reading that period!
I read “Spark of the Revolution” by Megan Soja. It was set around the Boston Tea Party, and I really enjoyed it!

I read an ARC of Every Given Day by Cathy Gohlke. It’s WWI historical fiction. It’s a fantastic book–so interesting and educational.
She does great with her research!
I read an ARC HIS FOURTH OF JULY BLESSING BY Lee Tobin McClain it was such a great story

I read Lydia, the Brave by Susan Martins Miller. It’s set at the time of the Boston Massacre. It’s actually a Juvenile Fiction book, but I ran out of time to read what I had planned on!
Juvenile books are great too! I learn so much in them! Was that an American Girl series? They always had great books for learning history.
I read Whispers from the Shadows by Roseanna M White in July. It fits the patriotic theme and was a good novel as expected. The novel is set in 1814 Maryland when tensions were high between England and America.
Love that. Was that part of the Culpeper Ring series? Those were my first books from her!
I still have about 100 pages to read of The Messenger by Siri Mitchell. So far I’d recommend it 1000%.
