Gallimore

I’m almost caught up with my Michelle Griep backlist. I can tell that this was one of her earlier books, as it lacked some of the typical elements I’ve grown accustomed to. However, it was a fun time-travel novel that allowed me a break from the normal. I love how Gallimore dealt with grief and allowing others into your life, all with the backdrop of a realistic Medieval setting–complete with smells and perhaps less than chivalric behavior. It was fascinating how she tied the past to the present and how echoes of the past affected the future relationship of the characters. It’s a quick read, and while I would love to have a longer version with more details to fill in some of the cliffhangers that jumped to the future and build in the romance of the present-day hero and heroine, it was still an enjoyable read.

Plot:

I read Christy Barritt’s Beach House Mystery box set. I have a hard time figuring out her mysteries and who is behind it. Her books are easy to read and read quickly in my opinion. There are times that’s all I want in a book 😀

I read Ann Gabharts’s new book, The Pursuit of Elana Bradford. I attended her author talk when the book was released. She is a favorite author of mine, lives in a nearby town and I love all of her books. This book had interesting and intriguing history about Graham Springs. I highly recommend!

I read Love in the Castle Library by Ann Swindell!! It is the second book in a series and it was so fun! I enjoy the locations and the relationships between characters! They always feel so authentic.
Yay! That on is on my TBR pile for as soon as I turn in this book.
I read The Bitter End Birding Society by Amanda Cox. Amanda’s books are always full of a cast of characters who become deeply loved by the end of the book, and are so rich in detail. Her characters experience grief and growth and are very relatable. I would highly recommend it!
I read “Heart on the Line” by Karen Witemeyer, I always enjoy her stories, and that includes this one!

I read Wes and Addie Had Their Chance by Bethany Turner. It was pretty good. A nice way to finish out that series.
