It’s a super quick post today, because I need your help. It’s that time of year when I’m planning the challenge for 2026. I’d actually like to do another year of TBR challenges, but with different themes. So I’d love it if you shared YOUR ideas for some new themes.

What about a book from a different country? OR how about a book that has something to do with the copyright date, for example 5 years before 2026. OR A book that has 25 chapters or between 20 and 30 chapters, whatever number you choose.
Just a couple thoughts! I love that you are continuing the TBR challenge. It has really helped me this year.
I wasn’t on the challenge last year so I’m not sure which themes have already been used. Some ideas I have would be the oldest book/longest on the TBR list, a book that begins with the same letter as the month, and lastly, pick a 12 letter word/phrase and each month’s book needs to start with the respective letter as well as meet the other theme for the month.
A book with ( a color) on the cover ( Crystal chooses)
A book that takes place in a country you want to visit
A book in a state that you want to visit
A book in a state that you have visited.
A book with an animal on the cover.
A book with a cover that depicts a season or weather.
A book with a child on the cover.
A book with a heart on the cover.
A book with a family dinner in it.
A book that has someone volunteering for a charity or organizing a charity event.
A book that has a hero or heroine in an unusual occupation or role.
A hero that is a service member or policeman, firefighter, etc.
A book with an older romance, not necessarily the main characters.
A book with a renovation of an old building.
A book with a scientist as a main character.
A book with particular colors on the cover.
A book with a title that begins with the first letter of your first name.
A book in a genre you don’t usually read.
An indie book.
A book in a POV you don’t usually read (thinking 1st/3rd types of POV, not necessarily a dog or something–lol).
A classic.
The oldest book on your TBR.
Setting based prompts: state, country, century or historical era.
I’ve really enjoyed this year’s TBR prompts, it’s been fun to go shopping from my own bookshelves!
