Welcome to my Romance Trope Bracket Tournament. Once a month, I’m going to post a new matchup.
Last month it was a matchup between Opposites Attract and Anonymous Love/Secret Admirer. (See the book recommendations here.)
Opposites Attract had the overwhelming win, but a decent number of people were rooting for Secret Admirer.
This month, we’re putting Brother’s Best Friend against Friends to More.Â
Vote for YOUR favorite trope below, and if you have a book recommendation for it, I’d love to hear it.
Then visit the tropes below to see my book recommendations for each trope.
Brother’s Best Friend
The love interest has been a fixture in the heroine’s life for years through their sibling friendship, and the long-simmering attraction becomes impossible to ignore.
Here are a few of my favorite Brother’s Best Friend stories!

The Duke’s Diary by Ashtyn Newbold

A Courtship of Conspiracies by Marilee Merrell

Finding Jonah by Denise Gore Long

Painted in Suspicion by Crystal Caudill
(Yep, a shameless plug…)
Friends to More
A close friendship evolves into a romantic relationship, highlighting the emotional depth and genuine connection that can develop between friends.
Here are a few of my favorite friends-to-more stories.

The Hidden Key of Brooke Sumner by Susan L. Tuttle

The Enchanting Miss Elliot by Grace Hitchcock

A Taste of the Twenties by Stephenia H. McGee

To Steal a Heart by Jen Turano

while I don’t have a favorite trope because I haven’t been able to read all tropes yet my favorite book to I’m looking to try is Finding Jonah
I love brothers best friend!!
I think I prefer Brother’s Best Friend!
Brother’s Best Friend. If you like regency romance, I’d highly recommend Courting Miss Lancaster by Sarah M. Eden. Second in a series, but standalone. It’s delightful.
I prefer Friends to More usually 🙂
